Chicago, IL - The Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners announced at its July meeting that Clarity Partners has been selected to redesign, build, and host the agency’s Website and ecommerce platform. Through this project, the Park District website will achieve a unified look and feel with a marketing emphasis to promote its parks, programs, partners, and events. The site will include ecommerce functions allowing patrons to browse a catalog of park programs and to register online using a familiar shopping cart interface. The ecommerce function will allow the district to offer additional items for purchase including permits, special use facility rentals, park photos, event tickets, and park resource reservations. This ambitious project will encompass the full range of Chicago Park District assets including its parks, recreation centers, golf courses, harbors, and beaches.

As Prime contractor, Clarity Partners is handling the management, top-level design, content migration, system integration architecture, testing, training, and documentation tasks for this $2 Million project. The hosting and much of the construction will be handled by Clarity’s strategic partner, American who has developed numerous public agency websites in the Chicagoland area, most notably the Chicago Transit Authority. This solution will incorporate American Eagle’s proprietary content management system and subscription-based emailing system. To address the majority of the park district’s ecommerce requirements, Clarity’s solution includes the integration of the ActiveNet parks and recreation management system from Active Network Inc.
