Chicago, IL – The City of Chicago’s Department of Revenue (DoR) has undertaken a project to replace its current cashiering system (RECAPS) with Payment Manager, a commercial, off the shelf cashiering product from Active Network, a San Diego based marketing and technology services company. Keane was chosen to perform the implementation, and has looked to Clarity Partners to play a lead role in capturing the business requirements, assist with the development of the architecture and provide testing and training expertise for the implementation.

The project is central to the DoR’s goals of providing unsurpassed customer service at its many payment locations. The new cashiering system will interface with debt-generating systems across the City, including CANVAS, IRIS, Banner and Hansen. Clarity is leading in the analysis of what non-cashiering functionality that is currently being performed in RECAPS should be contained within a new web based payment portal also being developed by Keane.

A team of Senior Business Analysts from Keane will begin in May to document the detailed requirements of the Payment Portal using an Agile planning and development methodology. The project is scheduled to complete in early 2009.
